Welcome!

This is the official companion for the neverendingbattle fansite. It started as a LiveJournal years ago and has since migrated a few times as I continue to search for a good permanent home for the site. The main website is currently housed on Google Sites. On this comm, I'll be posting newsletters, fandom updates, comics/movie/tv reviews, and various resources for Superman fans. As the LJ version of this page is no longer public, I'd like to move the past articles and posts over here so they won't be lost; this may take some time but all reposted content will marked as such and won't show up on subscriber's reading pages.

If you'd like to check out the site, you can find it here: [add link here]

These are some of the regular posts you can find here:

~ The Daily Planet - a weekly post with any current fandom news, events, and a general roundup of fan content posted over the previous week

~ The Signal Watch - posted at the beginning of each month, a list of any new comics releasing that month which feature Superman or other members of the Superfamily

~ Project Cadmus - currently a work-in-progress; more details will be posted soon!

Hello and happy spring! Hopefully things are finally starting to warm up by the time the first April comics hit the shelves. In any case, at least we're having an absolutely fantastic run with the Superfamily comics right now. Of special interest this month is the launching of Conner's newest solo series Superboy: Man of Tomorrow! Please remember to put in your orders ahead of time; we want to make sure it sells well enough to encourage more Superboy content from DC.

It is finally here! After Action Comics #1051, this is easily the comic book I have been looking forward to the most from the "Dawn of DC" line up. And I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. At the time of writing this, it has a massive 97% approval rating on the LOCG website, and a ton of reviews praising the art, writing, and story. I think it's safe to say DC's attempt at reinvigorating the Superman brand is working... provided they can keep up the momentum set by this premiere and January's Action Comics release.

As for my own thoughts on the Man of Steel's newest solo series, let's dive in...

Well, it's done. I finished the last story arc of Mr Majestic today. Going into this series, I hadn't expected to enjoy it as much as I did. I'm both surprised and disappointed that it didn't have a longer run. There were so many more plots and ideas that could have been explored with these characters. It often seems to be the most interesting series that end too quickly.

Well, let's dive in...

Welcome to March! Hopefully the weather is finally getting better for everyone. If not, though, at least we have quite a few Superfamily titles to keep us busy this month. After the disappointing lack of content in February, this month's line up is a welcome change. Also, this month marks the launching of Jon's newest solo series: Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent and the new Superman Lost series, so don't forget to add those to your pull list if you haven't yet! Let's dive in!

Diving back in again! This time, covering issues #4 - #6 of the 90's Mr Majestic series from Wildstorm.

Wow, it's been forever since I've done a comic review! While I usually cover Superfamily comics in these reviews, I thought I'd take a little journey off the beaten path today and instead cover one of the many "copycat" Supermen that appear in other titles and universes. My first target: Majestros, aka Mr Majestic, from the Wildstorm universe of comics.

I was already vaguely familiar with this character from his brief guest appearance in the "Strange New Visitor" story arc in the Superman titles. Recently, though, I stumbled across the 90's series Mr Majestic on the DCUI app and decided I'd give it a try. This is actually my first delve into the Wildstorm Universe, so (like a lot of adventures into the comic book world) I went into this thing with absolutely no clue who these characters are or what their story is about.

Since I've been sorely neglecting the comic reviews portion of the NeverEndingBattle site, I figured I'd review this series as I read it. There are nine issues overall and I'll be covering three per review. Let's dive in!

Welcome to February! Sadly, this will be a quiet month for the Superfamily fandom. On the bright side, though, this month does mark the launching of the newest Superman solo series from Joshua Williamson and Jamal Campbell. Let's dive right in...

Welcome to December! Of course, the biggest news this month is the long-awaited Action Comics #1050 which promises to launch the Superman story in a brand new exciting direction, as well as usher in the return of the Superfamily! This issue will be releasing with a staggering 28 covers! Make sure to let your LCS know in advance which cover(s) you'll be wanting. Speaking of covers, DC is also releasing a series of holiday-themed variants this month, so keep an eye out for those!

Happy Holidays super fans! <3

Welcome to November! There are a ton of new trade paperbacks and hardcovers for Superfamily fans this month! In addition, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Superman's death this November 18th, and DC is honoring the occasion by releasing a one-shot special with some absolutely stunning variant covers. Also, don't miss the reprinting of the famous Superman #75. Also of interest for anyone craving content with the other members of the Superfamily, we're getting Power Girl in several different titles this month. Be sure to check those out along with the final issue of Kon-El's latest series Dark Crisis: Young Justice.
